Can an HOA forbid me renting out my townhouse as a vacation rental?

We recently inherited a townhouse in Henderson that is in a gated community and we pay HOA dues. We would like to rent it out as a vacation rental rather than a yearly lease. Does Nevada have any laws that forbid us from doing this? And more importantly can the HOA pass anything that would prevent it? We'd like to know before we go down the route of making it into a vacation rental.

The best place to start is the community's CC&Rs. CC&Rs frequently have rental restrictions, such as prohibiting rental for less than one month at a time. It also bears taking a look at title 19 of the Henderson Municipal Code, which appears to significantly restrict short term vacation rentals.
