I was part of a daily team call of 6. During the call the manager started the conversation saying "John", not real name, you'll love this." She then told him about a show she was going to go see.see

Some states have outlawed sexual orientation discrimination, and your state may be one of them. You may want to check with your state's anti-discrimination agency. At the very least, you should report the incident to HR, anonymously if you are concerned about retaliation.

It looks like your question was cut off, but I'm assuming that the manager continued to discuss a show that she wanted to go see that she thought a gay man would also like. The implication is that this is some kind of a stripper show or sexual show or drag show. It is possible that repeated discussions of sexual topics in the workplace can create a hostile work environment for you, or for John, or others. A single incident like this would not normally do so to the level that would support a lawsuit. You nevertheless would probably be protected by law from retaliation if you in good faith reported this, but I would in most circumstances caution against it because the law can be on your side and you still be out of a job. Depending on the company and the industry, it is possible that policies of your organization would require you to report it. My best guess on this limited information is that it is not necessarily smart for you to report it. What does it get you, other than possibly upsetting your manager? I think it makes a lot of sense for you to call lawyers to discuss it, and potentially even pay a small consultation fee if you want an education in this area. Most people would benefit greatly from a consultation on topics like this. You might want to post your question again, if you don't want to call lawyers, because the question looks like it was cut off, so my answer is maybe only based on a partial question. Good luck!
