If I was wrongfully fired can I sue for future wages?

I was fired from out of the blue for job performance. However that subject was never brought up prior to the firing, nor was there anything in writing informing me of this...nothing in personnel file either.

You can sue, but you will not gain anything in such a suit and could actually end up paying attorney fees for your employer. Georgia is an employment at will state, so you can be fired for almost any reason or for no reason at all. Your employer doesn't have to give you warning prior to firing you. As a side note, you can file for unemployment. If you are denied unemployment, you should appeal. In that appeal , the fact that you were given no notice of your performance issues will help to assure that you receive unemployment benefits. Good luck to you.
