and the landlord will sign whatever i need signed. the woman who put me off the deep end was evicted so she does not live there anymore. no one was hurt, or even touched. treated police with respect when they showed up. this would definitely be considered out of character. is there a possibility i could get this dropped? i am willing to pay for tickets. i just need to find a way to get them off my record because i have a business. i would even offer community service.
Yes. It is very likely, if you do not have a prior record, that an attorney would be able to negotiate a resolution that will leave you without a record in the end. Feel free to give me a call if you would like to further discuss your case.
Yes, it is possible. Outagamie County has a deferred prosecution program which for remaining out of trouble and doing some community service and other conditions, the charges can be dismissed. It is also possible to get this removed from your record and from CCAP.
Yes, it is possible to have a deferred disposition where the case would eventually be dismissed. However, it is also sometimes possible to convince a prosecutor to just drop the charges if you have a defense. For example, you may be privileged to damage property if it was the landlord's property and the landlord states that you were permitted to cause the damage you are alleged to have caused under the circumstances. Your "disorderly conduct" may also be constitutionally protected free speech, depending upon the circumstances. Finally, another way of avoiding a criminal conviction in rather minor cases is reaching an agreement to amend a criminal charge to a civil ordinance violation.
Talk with a lawyer about your case and discuss the details to determine what if any defenses you may have to the charges and what you may be able to do with your case.
