How will selling tobacco to a minor affect me?

I work at a gas station and we usually sell a lot of cigs and juuls, today I was involved in a sting and I accidentally put in this girls birth date in the system wrong and we were getting rushed with customers so I didnt even think about double checking because she looked old enough, after I sold her the cigs two detectives came in and told my manager and they filled out some paperwork and I got a citation for selling to a minor first offense with a 200$ fine, soon after the corporate called and made me fill out some paperwork at the main store and they let me go, I’m currently trying to get into Air Force and plan to become a police officer after I’m done with the Air Force, how long will the offense be on my record and is this a major offense for me trying to become a police officer or a big piller from getting into military
