What are the ways my computer usage are monitored on probation?

Business Questions 3 views 1 answers
The reason I ask is because I was put on probation for a cyber crime, and one of probation requirements is to allow my probation officer to monitor my computer usage. I'm coming on my last few months on probation, and while I am asked every week if I engaged in any illegal use of my computer, there hasn't been any monitoring software installed on any of my devices. Over this past summer, I had to sign a form that said when the state (New Jersey) begins allowing monitoring software I give them permission to install it, and was told once this was in effect I would be notified. So far, I haven't been notified of anything. So my question is this; how have they been monitoring me all this time, if they have at all?

All they have to do is contact your ISP and see what internet traffic and activity was taking place during the time you claimed to have been within the scope of your parole. As an aside: maybe it's time to give up your outlaw lifestyle on computers. Even the most seasoned black-hats gets torn down; it seems like your problems go past right/wrong and are bordering on compulsory. Just get rid of the damn computer.
