Can you expunge a 20 year old misd. theft charge in Dallas that was dismissed with the dismissal code of UNAP, or unapprehended?

The records show there was a bond forfeiture. Basically it was a failure to appear. There was no history of crime following the original arrest.

You should be careful of that one, there is probably a statute of limitations on the charges but to be cautious I would contact a local attorney. FTA is serious in most states.

Not entirely sure of the status of your charge, however if the charge wasn't dismissed or you weren't found not guilty, it cannot be expunged at this time. If you want to hire an attorney to look into the status, negotiate a resolution to the charge and then see if it is eligble to be expunged, you should do that. If you're interested in talking further, feel free to call my office and we can determine the best way to work this out.

It is possible. It is also possible that you can request 'non-disclosure' which will seal the record from anyone that is not law enforcement. Click my link below to see the Department of Public Safety's website on Expunction and Non-Disclosure.
