issued her a summons. On advice we plead guilty to ticket with civil reservation, although did not beleive she was at fault. Now we are both being sued for permanent injuries, etc. We had auto insurance with NJM. Any advice?
You should just notify your insurance company and they will defend you if your daughter is covered.

In discussing the case with you insurance carrier as these other lawyers suggested, you should make sure that you consult with them and obtain their guidance on how to approach the ticket your daughter was issued in this case in addition to asking them to defend you.

Contact your automobile liability insurance carrier immediately and advise them that you have been sued. Contact them by phone and obtain the name of the person you were speaking to and get a mailing address where you can send the summons and complaint to them. Forward the suit papers by certified, return receipt of mail immediately. Keep a copy of everything you send them, as well as a record of who you spoke with at the company initially. Your insurance carrier will appoint an attorney to defend you and your daughter. After an attorney is appointed, you and your daughter should speak with the attorney personally and get information as to the full nature of the suit, her potential liability and whether or not your insurance coverage is adequate to pay for the claimed injuries.

The plea with civil reservation will not be admissible in the Civil case. You were named as a party because you own the vehicle. NJM should obtain dismissal of the case against you unless there is proof that you granted your daughter permission knowing she was unfit to drive. Your daughter's counsel should contest liability and ultimately a Jury must decide fault if the case does not settle. The police officer's opinion will not be admissible unless he was a witness to the accident or he is qualified as an accident reconstruction expert. With regard to the permanency allegation, if the Plaintiff elected the Verbal Threshold or Injury Threshold she must prove permanent injury based upon objective proof. NJM typically fights these claims on Plaintiff's failure to meet the threshold. Cooperate with teh lawyer NJM assigns and you should be fine. Good luck.
