With regards to your felony probation / grand larceny charge you will likely be sentenced to some period of time. Let's say 3 years. The court will then suspend a period of that 3 years. Let's say you get lucky and the court suspends all three years active time and gives you 3 years suspended time; probation for 3 years; and supervision by a probation officer for an "indeterminate" period of time. The "indeterminate" period of time means the probation officer will stop "supervising" you when he or she feels you are doing the things he or she requires and decides you are fine to be on your own. However, this only means you are through with the "supervised" portion of your probation. You still will be on probation for whatever time is left of the original 3 years. The conditions of this probation will depend on the Judge. You will definably be on "good behavior" meaning if you catch any more charges you will be violated. It is unlikely the court will require you to stay in the State, but the court may require drug rehab or some other condition. Good luck!

A misdemeanor conviction for petty larceny would probably only trigger a period of unsupervised probation. Your travel should not be restricted if on unsupervised probation for a misdemeanor.
