I came to US on F1 visa. My I20 is valid and I'm maintaining my legal status. My F1 visa got expired this year in June 2010. The Driver License expired on March 2010. I try to renew it. DMV give me the Temporary Driver License. Until now i still not receive the original one. After the Temporary Driver License expired. I try to renew it today, DMV don't allow me. They said my Student Vise is expried. What can i do??

You might try showing them a letter from your school explaining that you are in lawful status and that you will remain in lawful status throughout your studies regardless of the visa expiring. The I-94 is what is controlling and is the document that allows you to remain in the U.S. The visa is just the document that allows you to enter the U.S. Andre Olivie, Esq. DMV apparently does not understand that you are still in lawful status. Make an appointment with DMV, and ask to speak with a supervisor. Take a letter from the school with you explaining your situation. If this does not work, hire an immigration attorney to explain this to DMV. Please see
