In Arkansas delivery of methamphetamine is a Class Y felony. Class Y felonies are subject to a 6 year statute of limitation. Meaning from the time each act was committed they can charge a person within 6 years. If a person leaves the state, or otherwise attempts to avoid being found, the time for determining the 6 years will be put on hold for at most an additional 3 years. A person cannot avoid a charge by leaving the state. Also, the statute of limitation stops running as soon as a prosecution is commenced, i.e. when an arrest warrant is issued.
