I recommend that you have an attorney prepare an operating agreement that lists him as the owner, or at the very least, an assignment of ownership in the LLC. You may also need to change the registered agent to your son. If the value of the business exceeds $13,000 there are also gift tax issues to consider.

I see no reason for a new operating agreement, assuming you have one already. It might specify how to make the transfer. All you need is a bill of sale or an assignment of your interest in the LLC; that will make your son a member of the LLC. Give him a piece of paper saying "I hereby give my interest in XXX LLC to my son [his name]" and sign it. Ordinarily no state filing is necessary for a transfer of ownership. You should determine whether your Articles of Organization specify that it is a member-managed or a manager-managed LLC. If manager-managed, your son should be designated as a manager FEEDBACK: Both and other readers are interested in your feedback on the quality of the answers.
