to give some background information. i was on my way home from a doctors appointment. and i was going 65 in a 55 i know i was speeding! but i was keeping up with the flow of traffic and trying to get my medicine and get home. then the cop pulls out behind me and tailgates me, and follows me but i sped up because he was on my bumper so i felt intimidated and nervous. but i kept moving like normal because i felt i did nothing wrong. then he pulls me over on an exit ramp and appraoches my car and had an attitude with me and then i just stated he was tailgating me then he got really mad and said WHAT! like he didnt know. so i dont know i just felt like i was targeted and wasnt treaded well/ taken advantage of.

This may not be ethical but if you fought the ticket the only thing the administrative officer/judge is going to care about is if you were exceeding the speed limit. If you don't have any valid defenses to the ticket or you can't show that his equipment/training is defective than you probably will have to pay it. Just because he hurt your feelings or tailgated you isn't a legal defense. What you probably should have done was to move to a different lane or slowed down. If you slowed down that regardless if he was tailgating you he would have had to slow down also.
