What does order leave to file within 28 days allowed mean in a divorce case

My divorce had its judgment on 1-20-2011 and it also says order to leave to file within 28 days allowed. Then on 1-26-2011 it says on line, report or record of proccedings filed. Thanks Jason

All that means is that a transcript of your prove-up hearing (the hearing where the Judge entered your Judgment for Dissolution of Marriage) had to be filed and was filed accordingly on 1-26-11.

Historically, judgments for dissolution were not always entered on the same day as the final hearing. The court would not enter the judgment until a later date, when the court reporter's transcript of the final hearing was typed and filed with the court. In your case, the judge entered the judgment on the day of the hearing with leave to file the transcript within 28 days thereafter.
