Can i be fired for fb chatting with a subordinate ?

An hourly employee and i was chatting on fb and eventually ended up video chatting. All this took place in June 2019. Well in September 2019 another assistant manager wrote her up for eating on the job without paying and she got terminated. Well in retaliation she lashed out at me and printed out our fb conversation and took it to the office and as a result, i was fired. Can i sue for wrongful termination or at be within my rights to get my job back.

Georgia is an "employment-at-will" state which means an employer can terminate an employment relationship at any time for any/no reason, but not for an improper reason, such as whistleblowing, or for making a complaint, for example. If you can prove that were terminated for an improper reason, such as for making a complaint, for example, you may be successful in a wrongful termination lawsuit against the employer.
