You might do best going to the doctor's office and inquiring about your records and the results of your test. Also arrange to speak with someone in the hospital or clinic's management or administration because, I am sure that they would not be happy with this apparent sloppy handling of your records. It makes sense to write a written complaint to the administration and follow up from there. Hopefully your doctor is professional enough to apologize to you in person. This may not rise to the level of requiring a lawsuit because as my colleague has stated you may have a tough time showing damages. Best of luck. Olaide Banks www.banks-attorneys.com

Every lawsuit needs damages. You don't have any, unless the results of these tests would have some serious impact on your health. You do have some inconvenience and customer service issues, and I'm not so sure I'd be happy continuing to see a doctor whose office was in such disarray. You might threaten to take your business elsewhere next time to follow up on this.
