If I have sold weed before, can I still become a police ?

I was selling weed back in high school for short period. I don’t use drugs but because my friend was selling it and I needed the money, I tried it. I sold my friends weed for 2 months but I knew it wasn’t right so I stopped. I was underaged around that time. I have always wanted to become a police officer and I just want to know if I will be disqualified for this. I have never use drugs at all and I was young at the time so I was pretty stupid. Will this disqualify me from becoming a police or any other law enforcement career?

Please see whether you can take this question down. This is a public website. If you were not charged with a crime, I don't think this is going to be an issue. If you were charged as a minor, it still may not be an issue. It will depend on what questions you are asked on the application. I strongly suggest that you consult with an attorney in private before you file any application. Be completely honest with that lawyer about what happened. Listen to the advice you receive. Don't ever, ever, post an incriminating statement like this on a public forum again. This is intensely personal information, and you should not share it in a place like this. Good luck to you.
