Without knowing more it is difficult to answer the question posted. If you truly believe that the basis of the firing was because you were injured on the job you should consult with an attorney. If you were injured on the job, you can also file a claim for under the company's workers' compensation policy. If the do not have such a policy you can pursue the employer directly. An attorney should be consulted promptly. This answer is provided for general, informational purposes to the "hypothetical" questions posted and does not create an attorney/client relationship. It is recommended that you speak to an attorney to discuss your specific legal issues.

Prior responding counsel is correct. Massachusetts law prohibits firing an employee because of a work related injury, so long as they can otherwise perform the essential functions of the job.
