I was wrongly accused of a probation violation what can I do?

I was accused by my probation officer of violating a rule. Now I am in jail for the remainder of my probationary period. I was wrongly accused and they have no proof that i made a violation. Someone called my probation officer and made a false accusation against me. Also, no investigation was done regarding this matter. The probation officer also made me sign a document stating that I agree to serve the jail time. He said if I didn't sign it I would be facing prison time instead. Do I have any rights in this matter? If so, how do I proceed?

Hello there, It didn't help matters that you signed the an admission form. Probation violation can be contested through a revocation hearing. Sincerely, Erick Platten PLATTEN LAW OFFICE 304 WEST RUSK STREET TYLER, TEXAS 75701

I agree with the first attorney. You may try revoking the document you signed. By signing this document, you may have been agreeing not to have a hearing on this matter. Keep in mind your probation officer was likely telling the truth: By having a hearing, you may be facing prison time rather than jail. I suggest contacting your local public defender's office and seeing if you qualify for their assistance/if they will help in such a matter. Good luck!
