Many court jurisdictions in Florida require conciliation conferences just as they require mediations. You, (an attorney for you if any), a lender rep, and a lender attorney will get on the phone and talk about the loan and possible options. Going along with the previous responses, you really should speak with an attorney. Many times the lender wants to receive updated paperwork from the borrower before the conciliation conference - this may lead to more fruitful negotiations. On the other hand if you take it upon yourself to provide the lender with any paperwork they require before the conciliation and they still don't agree to anything, you make have a stronger argument that they failed to negotiate in good faith, which could give you additional defenses before the court. An attorney can help you do this and help make the most of a conciliation opportunity.

You need to take that document to an attorney with foreclosure expertise and get it reviewed. In FLA the foreclosure mill mess has made for a lot of surprising results in favor of homeowners.

Generally, a Notice of Conciliation in Florida foreclosure cases is a notice that the parties (you and the Bank) are going to get together and try and come to a resolution on your own. This is analogous (in most situations) to mandatory mediation. In most of Florida, the Bank is mandated to go through a mediation or conciliation program with you PRIOR to obtaining a final judgment on the foreclosure. I strongly suggest you speak with a qualified foreclosure attorney as soon as possible. If you find this response helpful, please click on the “thumbs up” button at the bottom. Edward C.
