I am the petitioner in a family court case in the state of Wisconsin and after losing everything that the respondent and i shared, I relocated to the state of Texas where my support system was located with my 3 children. Neither the respondent or myself resides in the state of Wisconsin. Is there a way to transfer the case to the state where I reside?

If everyone has left the state of Wisconsin, it would no longer have continuing exclusive jurisdiction to decide custody issues. Your divorce decree is given full faith and credit in every state of the country. You should consult with an experienced family lawyer on how to obtain a certified copy of your Wisconsin divorce or custody decree and how to properly file it in the new state you are living and how further, to give roper legal notice to your ex.
