My current case status is I129. We actualy sent the files on august 2010 but got the receipt after five months january 18, 2011. It has been five more months for the answer and still in initial review... is this normal ? what kind of mickey mouse system is this ?

Estimated processing times are posted on the USCIS website. You might want to have your employer call the customer service number to find out why almost year has apparently elapsed.
