Can a doctor/clinic get in trouble if they never asked me if I was pregnant while doing an xray on me?

I sprained my ankle a week ago and went to an urgent care and after the whole process, I noticed that they did x-rays on me and everything but never asked me if I was pregnant or not or gave me a pregnancy test or anything, can they get in trouble for that?
Hopefully, you'll have no negative effects so no damages and no case. Of course, YOU should have advised them of your pregnancy, but assuming you were in quazi-shock and pain, you weren't thinking straight. But you should bring this to the attention of the Radiologist In Charge.

Question: Are you pregnant?
When thinking about medical malpractice or any cases involving the such, the first question you have to ask yourself are: What are your damages?

They may have been negligent in not asking you, but you also may not have sustained any damages. And if you did sustain damages, proving that your loss was tied to an x-ray many months earlier will be very difficult. This would not be an easy case without more direct evidence of damage to you or your baby.
This notwithstanding, you still might want to report the clinic to the Board of Health for inproper practices. You wont get any money for doing this, but you might cause the clinic to follow proper procedure for the next person that gets an x-ray.

Of course they should have asked you whether you were or thought you might be pregnant before commencing x-rays. Assuming they fell below the standard of care for not asking, the next question is did this cause you any damages. I think you will find it very difficult, if not impossible to find an expert to opine that an x-ray of an ankle would have any significant negative effect on a fetus.
However, you should lodge a complaint with the hospital to help them review their protocol to avoid the possibility of injuring others by shoddy practices,
