How does one go about finding the will of a deceased relative in Manatee County?

One of my parents recently passed away near Sarasota. I live out of state. Their estate is large enough for probate. This parent was not married and I am the first-born child but was not very close with that side of the family. There are half-siblings and other relatives in FL there and I'm sure that last wishes were discussed with one or all of them. I do not believe that my parent would have left me out of receiving anything, no matter how small or insignificant. I do not want to approach my relatives about it to avoid any conflict. Do I have a legal way to discover any info about this estate, and what I am entitled to, if anything? Thank you.

Let me add to Mr. Gunthert's reply which was correct. If no Will was filed (because no one else could find it), or no probate was opened, you may contact a probate attorney in the county where the deceased lived and petition to open the probate yourself (as a child of the deceased). if you con't find what you're looking for online, I'd recommend you contact a local probate attorney to assist you. Finally was the deceased married at the time of his/her passing? If so, the Will may have directed everything go to the surviving spouse. Is the surviving spouse also your parent?

Sorry for your loss and please accept my condolences. You can check online in the county where your mothe lived, usually, a Will should/must be filed within 10 days in the county where the person lived (thiis rarely happens). If a probate is opened, the will is filed and submitted to the clerk of the court and a probate is opened, you will be able to look this up online, check online in the county where your parent lived, this will let you know if there was a Will and if there is a probate .
