Can a federal employee be marked as awol, despite calling in and coming back with a dr’s excuse because of a sick child?

My kids have asthma attacks, despite numerous nebulizer treatments with albuterol and budesonide, their coughs and breathing weren’t getting any better. I called my supervisor to let her know the situation and basically said hope they feel better. Come time to do time cards, I was marked AWOL, despite having a Dr’s note. Another instance, I was sick, ran 102 fever, up all night vomiting and didn’t have the strength to get out of bed, called my supervisor to let her know my situation, and again, hope you feel better soon. I’ve been marked awol and harassed and don’t know what I should do. I have a military background and always thought being awol will cause disciplinary actions. I’m always on time to work. I get in early but have been harassed by the same supervisor that I am not authorized to be there before 8 and that if I start working before 8, despite phone calls, can cause a disciplinary action. I feel like I’m being harassed and singled out in the dept.
