Attorney Fees?
Anonymous3 views1 answers
Leasing Contract states " if any legal action or other proceeding is brought by any party to enforce any part of this lease, the prevailing party shall recover reasonable, in addition to all other relief, reasonable attorney fees and costs. However, I sued the Landlord after leaving because of physical injuries I suffered while living in the property. I am trying to find a lawyer to take the case. However can they sue for attorney fees?
That is an excellent question, and it depends on the cause of action you sue them for. If you were injured as a result of their failure to maintain the unit in a habitable condition, then arguably yes, you'd be entitled to your attorney's fees. The attorney who reviews your case will have to make that determination.
