Can I sue Uber for promising to pay me but failing to do so?

My husband is an Uber driver. He recently had a very long trip with a rider that eventually came out to $80 dollars. He never saw it posted onto his account. He has called Uber several times in the last two weeks since it occurred and all they can tell him is to wait 48 hours to fix the issue with its engineers. There has been no luck yet and he keeps getting the same answers to just wait 48 hours. They said this incident never happens but we are highly doubting that at this point.

Technically you can probably sue but suing over an $80 claim really makes no sense. Small claims court would be your approach but is it really worth your time and effort over an $80 charge? Good luck to you.

Uber is not your friend. They are probably in a panic anyway. Their business model is about to implode.

If he's waited the contractual amount of time and the company has no information about being paid, your husband can sue in Small Claims court, if his employment contract allows it, or file s DLSE claim if he's an employee.
