In the state of Pennsylvania if my spouse has credit card debt in his name only, am I liable for the debt if he can't work, etc?

He has approximately 30,000 dollars in credit card debt. I am worried that I will be responsible to pay that debt in the future if he is unable to do so since we are married.

If the charges were for "necessaries" for his maintenance, there is some possibility a creditor could attempt to hold you liable, particularly if he has no assets or means of support. However, if you did not agree to be a borrower on the account, if he was solvent when the charges were incurred, the odds are that you could not be held liable.
