Make sure that you have the legal description on the quitclaim deed.

Your husband is the grantor, you are the grantee. He is surrendering his interest (quitting his claim) in favor of you.

Your husband is the grantor, and you are the grantee. Obtain a coy of the current deed on file with the recorder. Copy the legal description exactly as it appears. Your local county recorder will have additional forms to be filled out, but they will be simple and self explanatory. Disclaimer: I am not offering legal advice.
