A lawyer can only file suit in a state in which he or she is admitted to practice. It is possible to be admitted for a single case, but there must be a local lawyer involved. There are advantages sometimes to having an out of state lawyer, but you need local expertise too. If the case is big enough your California lawyer should have no difficulty finding a local lawyer to affiliate with.

In order for a lawyer to file a suit they must be admitted in the jurisdiction or go in through another lawyer's license Pro Hac Vice.

I agree with the other attorneys. Lawyers can only practice in states of which they are admitted.

A lawyer from out of state, unless also licensed in Nevada, would have to associate a local attorney and get admitted pro hac vice. There are excellent personal injury trial lawyers in Nevada who know Nevada law, Nevada courts and Nevada judges. And they do have plenty of the fortitude you desire.
