What is the legal term if someone says they are pregnant and had a child, but that ended up to not be true?

Was in relationship that ended, ex stated was pregnant, moved to different state, was supported while there due to supposed child. Stated had child, no date of birth, name etc. Sent pictures of a child later. What laws might be violated if there is actually no child once paternity tests results (court ordered) come back?

If child support was paid it was fraudulently obtained. It would probably be uncollectable, particularly if her income is obtained through paternity scams. However, if it turns out that this scammer can be out of your life forever, that would seem to be the safest bet. Good Luck
