Am I in contempt or could be breaking parenting plan if I change exchange for pickup/drop off?

In our parenting plan made 5 years ago it states we must meet at a specific gas station unless parties agree otherwise. Things change. I have custody of my son and me and my wife got a new job to help provide for the family. So visitation starts at 9 but she has to be at work at 7:30am and can't make it to drop of son to his mother for her summer visitations. Can we ask the mother to meet at my wife's job at 9am to obtain son instead of gas station. My wife or my self can't change our hours and my son's mom doesn't work. Note it's about the same time drive and nothing extra on her part and still get the same time. Would I be in contempt? I have finial descion making but not sure if that follows under that category being it's stated in papers. She will try to argue I'm in contempt. Will judge see it as us trying or breaking rules?

It sounds like your order requires meeting at the gas station, unless you two agree otherwise, and there is no agreement otherwise, which means meet at the gas station. If you two cannot work it out, or there is no way for you to comply with the current terms, you may need to consider a modification claim.

I agree with my colleague. If the order states that you meet at the gas station unless you both agree on the new place, then that’s where it will have to be. If the mother is not in agreement then the change doesn’t take place. You can file for a modification to get the pick-up location legally changed.
