I have joint custody father is currently homeless

I have a 4 year old who his father and i have joint custody over. He was ordered to pay me 79$ a month and failed to pay because kept quitting and starting jobs he got 733$ behind. They set a show cause hearing and he failed to appear to that. So they set out warrant he chose not to take care of that after i told him two months ago either. He is now telling me he will have the money for his bond by Tuesday apparently has to ride the bus to get it to them because he does not have a vehicle. He wants to see my son on his days off but wants me to drive him 45 minutes to him and expect that he will have a way back here Thursday by 3. I'm just not comfortable with this at all. I just got my son on a schedule and on an emotional level where he isn't confused. What do i do ? I don't know what to think because i haven't had a chance to talk with anyone about it but he is currently homeless living at the farm hes working at with no car and he has his brothers to stay i guess on days off but it is somewhere my son has never stayed and im just so stuck and sad and feel like if i don't take him they can hold it against me i just want to protect my baby.
