My employer admits to entrapping me... And terminated my employment because of said entrapment. Is this legal?
My former employer "had to let me go" his reasoning was that I had been stealing. I asked how he figured and he went on to tell me that he had been putting money in my cash drawer during my shift causing my drawer to be "over" and told me that i had been taking that "extra money" for myself. He has only ever been in my drawer one time in the 5 years I worked for him my cash and cash report are always within a dollar or two of being correct. I don't ever recall my drawer ever being over more than a couple dollars. I just want to know if his decision and reasoning was legal... I'm aware that it's obscenely unethical. And aware of the difference between trapping and entrapping.
