Hello! I was in an ATV accident last summer and knocked my four front teeth out and fractured my maxilla. it has been QUITE the journey and will continue to be over for the rest of my life. I am currently in the process of my settlement demand. My total future medical bill costs will be $232,960. And I just threw my settlement demand at $298,600. Am I shooting way too low with my pain and suffering?

Correct, you are shooting blindly. What is/are your reason/s for not retaining qualified GA counsel?

I'm sorry to hear of your severe injuries. It's hard to say, but the short answer to your question is "probably." You should speak to a lawyer who specializes in personal injury, particularly motor vehicle crash cases, before you respond to any offer in response to your demand. There are plenty of us here on .

You are likely shooting way too low. Contact a Georgia personal injury injury attorney before you take the next step. Charles McAleer

I cannot say with certainty, only because I do not know about the liability involved, but based upon medical bills and injuries alone, I would say almost certainly you are way too low. You need to get a personal injury attorney involved to help you so that you do not sell your claim short. Anyone here would be happy to speak with you. A consultation is free and you owe yourself at least that before you settle your claim. Just search for one of us in the search feature on .

You are likely asking too low. Without knowing more facts that may be relevant to your case, an attorney adds value to a lawsuit that justifies hiring that attorney for the matter. You should seek competent counsel.

I need to know who you believe is responsible for your ATV accident. Are you asserting that this was a defective product? Did you rent the ATV? Are you seeking to sue the company you rented this ATV from? Who has accepted liability for this accident? These are all very important questions that will affect the value of your case. What medical narratives do you have that support your medical treatment costs, both past and future? Is your treatment from a specialist or from a general dentist? As all the other lawyers have stated, handling this matter by yourself is not a good idea. Especially since all of us will give you a free one half to one hour consult by phone to look at the facts in your case. Lawyers have a way of adding value to your case.

If you are looking solely at your medical expenses without taking into account the actual liability of someone else, then you are shooting way too low. This presumes that your future expected medical bills have solid support and foundation. You should really speak with an attorney who can help navigate these waters. Insurance companies take advantage of people like you who are not represented by an attorney. They have no allegiance to you.
