Travel to Bahamas and reenter to USA (nonimmigrant)

I have an expired H1B visa but have a valid I-797 and I-94. I am planning to take a cruise trip to bahamas for 2 days. 1) Do I need obtain bahamas visa prior to travel to Bahamas? 2) Can I reenter to USA with valid I-797 and I-94 (expired H1B visa in passport) or do I need to obtain H1B again to reenter to USA? Any helps will be appreciated. thanks

Foreign nationals generally need a visa to enter the U.S. Thus, in order to come to the U.S. and work in H-1B status, you will need an H-1B visa unless you are willing to enter in another status and then change to H-1B. Please call an immigration attorney to schedule a consultation.

You will most likely need a valid H-1B visa stamp in order to return to the US.
