Can I get harassment charges for communicating with my child's mother when pertaining to my son?

I have primary custody for my son with every other weekend to his mother's house. I legally have to discuss general information with her as she is the other parent. I encourage them to have a bond and encourage more time then allotted. We can only legally communicate through email. But everything the mother gets mad she emails and says"don't email me again or it will be harassment charges". I say nothing out of the way, nothing threatening. She just didn't get her way on an issue. Do I have to continue to update her after that email or if I do can I get harassment charges brought against me.

You should be able to continue to communicate with her regarding the child. If you do send her emails regarding the child stick to the issue and be sure to save all of them so you have proof of what was sent. People can be brought up on harassment charges, but as long as you are communicating about your child there shouldn’t be a problem with it, since you state that is the only legal way you two can communicate. If it continues to be a problem speak with an attorney regarding your options to address it.
