Who knows if the parole officer lied to you and does he have an obligation to you? He could have told you that he thought he was going to get out quickly because that is what the PO thought. However, it is not the PO's call all the time. The PO gives a recommendation to the court or the parole board and let's them know how the parolee has been doing but it is the board or court's decision as to if and when the parolee will be released. So, the intentions of the PO might have been good. It is not the parole officer's fault that your fiancee is in custody for a violoation, it is your fiancee's so he is the one you should be upset with for putting himself in this situation in the first place.
