Probably not, but chances are you may be given more time to complete the community service due to the pandemic and stay at home orders. Typically, community service must be done in person and at/for a non-profit organization.

I have not seen or heard community hours being completed by that method, however, if the court accepts a remote compliance as described then, yes. It will be most likely postponed for later compliance.

We practice in DuPage county regularly. At this time no judge is authorizing on-line community service. You need to appear with a lawyer to ask for additional time to complete the hours ordered.

You need to discuss this with your attorney. That attorney will contact the State's Attorney's Office and find out what needs to be done regarding your community service hours. Some prosecutors are removing the community service hours all together but this must be confirmed with the prosecutor.

Unlikely. Unless the charity has some online work for you to do that can be monitored to know how much time you put in, and if the court will approve it. Check with your attorney.

In almost 50 years I have had one client do that. He was a former IT director for the Defense Department so he had specialized skills and there was a NFP where he was already volunteering so he just upped his game. But those are the keys; first, specialized skills and second, an NFP who would trust you inside their system. The idea of community service is that it adds value to the community and allows you a way to pay back society without doing time or paying more fine. If you don't have specialized skills, it would just be busy work. If you're a coder, maybe. If you're a pinball wizard with MSOFFICE, Maybe, Maybe not. If you're just a decent keyboarder, not much chance. Now,maybe you could use your Telephone for some PSE, dispatching for meals on wheels or some such. Every Good Wish.
