What happens at a show clause hearing for visitation?
I am the primary custodial parent when school is in and the father is during the summer. We each are able to get child within 48 hours notice however last summer I was denied visitation on more then one occasion and now the father is saying he won't allow me summer time visitation that is in a court order because it is his time with her... I know now that I am able to file a motion for a show clause for Everytime he denies me visitation but my concern is will it make a difference? I'm in VA father goes back and fourth between Maryland and new York which is why it is set up this way...he originally claimed to only be in new York however I learned he works in Maryland and petitioned to have the visitation modified and in doing so i explained to the judges about the multiple times he refused me visitation in the summer and the judges honestly didn't seem to care and awarded me one week additional in summer. Was a big let down so I'm just curious on what exactly could happen.
