i am 10 weeks pregnant and i was let go from my job today for not making an effort to come to work in a blizzard is this legal ??

It is illegal to discharge someone for being pregnant. Many times the employer makes it appear that you were let go for other reason (excessive absenteeism). Check with the human rights commission in NYC they will provide some excellent guidance without charge. Also NY has many employee rights attorneys, and most of them will provide a consultation at no charge.
