I am in the process of closing escrow and they are asking me to wire transfer all the money to them by provinding their acct #, how can I make sure that the money is safely wire for the purpose of closing escrow. I called the Dept of RealEstate and Dept of Insurance to verified, but they can only give me the licence # of the title co. which does not do any good to me in this case. Please help ASAP. Thank you!!!

Title companies routinely handle real estate closings in California but you can hire an attorney if you want to. If the title company is licensed, it is unlikely they will run off your money.
