Where can I find a Individual Disability Insurance Lawyer for Permanent and Total Disability?

2 views 3 answers
I was injured on the job and I re-aggravated an old injury. After being denied disability and appealing it I was accepted and receiving weekly benefits. Its been two years the insurance is stating that I am not entitled to the permanent and total disability benefits even after being granted by Social Security.

I think, based on your question, that you're talking about a long-term disability policy you received from work. If that is the case, then the policies typically pay 2 years of benefits if you're unable to do YOUR job, and will then continue paying beyond 2 years if you are unable to do ANY job. Feel free to contact me, if so. I and my firm handle these kinds of cases nation-wide. If it's something we can't handle, I may know someone else in Florida who can help. Unless you've been denied and you currently have an appeal deadline which is about to expire, the best thing to do is to NOT appeal until after you've spoken with an attorney. If you're talking about the kind of case it sounds like you're talking about, you will likely only be allowed one appeal, and if that appeal isn't handled correctly, it may be very, very difficult for an attorney to help you after the second denial.

You need an attorney who handles group and or private disability claims.
