Call you county lawyer referral service and request referral to a criminal defense attorney.
Use any search engine (Google, Bing etc.) and look for 'Fresno Criminal Defense Attorneys'
Use the find a lawyer tab at the top of this page.
Call any CA criminal defense attorney (that's not me) who responds to this question.

I have always believed that referrals are the best way to find a good lawyer. Make sure you talk to the lawyer (personally) who you are thinking of hiring. Make sure the lawyer is experienced in criminal defense and not simply someone with a good advertising program on Google. Make sure the lawyer has done multiple murder trials before. Don't rush into this. This is a very serious decision and will likely be very expensive. Be cautious of lawyers who might want to take the case only through the preliminary hearing. Murder cases rarely, if ever, resolve before prelim.
