Will careless driving show up on my background check?

It's a 2 point ticket. You can ask the prosecutor for an unsafe driving ticket instead, 0 points bu $400 fine. or plead to the careless, take the 2 points and complete the NJ defensive driving class online. Once completed the 2 points is removed by DMV. I suspect you might have been going way to fast and cop gave you a break with only a 2 point ticket

It is not criminal and not on your CCH. Hard to imagine how anyone would see it unless they check your driving abstract. Have not heard of medical schools doing that, and why would they. Maybe DWI or other serious tickets but they are not criminal either.

It will show up on you Drivers abstract if they check it, but it won't show up on your criminal record as it is a traffic ticket. If you need to reduce or eliminate this ticket I suggest hiring a lawyer to get the best result possible. Most of us traffic ticket lawyers offer a free in office consultation.

It's not a criminal offense. Maybe if they run your driving abstract, but most non-driving jobs don't care about a careless driving ticket.
