How do I go about proving or obtaining proof of guardianship of minors and their property when I am there biological parent

I agree with my colleagues. You need to petition the Court to be appointed guardian of their respective estates. You will then have to file an inventory and annual accountings with regard to the same. Each child unless twins/triplets, etc., will need a separate guardianship case as the guardianship will terminate when the child turns 18 and you will need to file a final accounting. I urge you to work with an attorney.

The short answer is you need to apply to your District court to be appointed as guardian of your children's estates. This allows you to receive money from third-parties due to them directly. Depending upon the amount of money, you may be able to qualify for a summary guardianship. The good news is that you should be able to address each child in one proceeding. If this seems like too much to do alone, reach out to a local guardianship attorney. This should not be terribly expensive to get handled. Best of luck.

Insurance companies often require a guardianship be set up via court to receive the money. You will need to retain an attorney who handles guardianships for minors. Once the child is 18, they can claim the money themselves.
