If my license is suspended at ALS hearing, how long does it take or what is the process to get permission to drive to school?

I got a dui and took the state breath test and have sent in my 10 day appeal letter on time. If I go to the hearing and they refuse to give me back my right to drive then can I at the hearing be given the right to drive to school and home? Or is there paperwork I am suppose to submit to do that? I just am concerned of the amount of time I could be unable to drive to work in school immediately following the hearing if all does not go well.

If this is your first ALS suspension in 5 years you can get a limited permit only from DDS headquarters in Conyers. Then, complete DUI School, and pay the reinstatement fee, and you can get your regular driver's license back on the 31st day after the hearing. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

If you are suspended on a first ALS after the hearing you can immediately get a work permit. Just go to DDS and apply. After 30 days, if you complete DUI school, you can apply for full reinstatement.
