As stated above, the age of consent in New York is 17. If you are 22 years old, you should not date a 14 year old, how do you know that at some point you wont be accused of having a sexual relationship with him? My advice is to date someone over the age of consent.

Does no sex mean no intimate contact whatsoever? This sounds like a very bad idea as a 22 year old is an adult while a 14 year old is a child. Keep in mind that the age of consent in NY is 17.
