United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement will determine at the border whether you are permitted to enter the United States. According to what you say, you were convicted of a violent offense and the ICE border agent will be able to discover this information when you present identification and they check it. It is the job of these officials to prevent undesireable persons from entering the United States. You may contact Immigration and Customs Enforcement to inquire about your specific circumstance by following the link below. Good luck.
