I was offered a job but after background check the HR has gone silent?

I was offered a job in NYC, I have a formal offer, and agreed to a background check, I have a felony on my record, however its from 12 years ago. The check service returned that result, I was informed they were " contemplating adverse actions" the same day I was told a laptop was going to be shipped, this was a Tuesday, I was told it would be shipped to be on Thursday and arrive Saturday. On Friday after receiving the adverse action notice that Wednesday, I reached out to the training manager who said I would be receiving a call from my trainer that night. Since then it has been silence, no call, no email, no text.
